Oscar Leaving the Chronicle

NBCC board member Oscar Villalon, book editor of the San Francisco Chronicle, departs on Friday, August 29. He took a buyout, but, he says, he's still in the game, doing freelancing reviewing for NPR.org, KQED's "The California Report," and the Virginia Quarterly Review.

I asked Deputy Book Editor Regan McMahon if she will be the new book editor at The Chronicle now that Oscar Villalon is leaving. She said, "That's the assumed plan."

Yes, Joe, Oscar says the plan is for Regan to follow through on books at the Chronicle after he leaves.

Does anybody have the details for how to contact or send review copies to Oscar for his freelance reviewing?
